Healing in the Blood
Last night as I sat in my chair our cat Mocha came up and got in my lap. It is not usual for him. He likes to lay on my chest as I recline and watch TV. He lays there as if to say, “I trust you have all of this under control and I want to be next to you”. Now Mocha has an interesting quality about him. Really he is skittish. He easily freaks out about things like sudden movements and noises. He can go from relaxed with not a care in the world to crazy in less than a second. Well as he sat in my lap I got the feeling he was going to move so I tried to shift around to make it easier on him, and stay away from his claws, but when I did he “freaked out”, no surprise there, and stepped on my hand as he leaped to the foot stool nearby. Of course a cat has claws and that caused two ugly looking scratches on my hand. I couldn’t get mad at him because, one it wouldn’t do any good, if you have ever owned cats you know what I mean and two his actions weren’t outside his nature. My hand of course, started to bleed so I went to the bathroom and rinsed out the wound. As I watched my hand bleed, I was reminded that, there is healing in the blood…
